Being a Mom

After reading a few different blog entries by friends I have decided I'm not that witty or creative with the written word. I wish I was and at times I think I am but in all honesty I'm not. But give me a house and an unlimited budget, that's where my creativity comes into play. Oh the day when I will have my own house to do what I want, I can't wait. Anyways
Being a Mom has been the best adventure. Brian and I have laughed so much in the last 3 weeks, we are the usual first time parents, who would have thought we would get excited when Will would burp, toot, or poop. It's hilarious when we actually hear what we are saying, Dad also likes to be an example to his son, oh the joy the years will bring with the two of them. Good thing they are both cute and I love them.
I still can't get over the fact that I am a mom, I have a son that I take care of 24/7, I can survive off of less than 8 hours of straight sleep, and the most amazing thing is this thing called the female human body. I am amazed at how I was able to have a 9.1 lbs. son, live, then walk, have my stomach shrink to an OK size for 3 weeks after, use the bathroom and not cry (sorry if that is to much info!), feed him every 2-3 hours, change endless amounts of diapers and be excited if it's the right color, change his outfit up to 4 times a day because I wasn't fast enough to keep him from peeing all over it, and more and more... oh one more, how aware I am off germs now! I have washed my hands so many times, used hand sanitizer like it was going out of style, and make any one who comes near him wash their hands. Germafob.
Brian has the camera at school so I can't post any picture's right now...

It's a crazy new world isn't it?! I am so sad I missed seeing the little guy at Bunko the other day. I would have hated it if my son got him sick though! He is gorgeous by the way!

It sounds like you are a perfect Mom too!! Such a CUTE little guy you have!!

I am on the other end of the spectrum now going gaga over grand babies. Maria brought Nathan over this morning, I hadn't seen him for a week and I was surprised at how Excited I was to see him and have him smile at me!! Just gaga, like I said!

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I have been thinking and feeling all of those same things over the last three weeks with our little guy. It is pretty amazing bringing this little miracle into the world... and then surviving the recovery, sleep deprivation, etc. Wow.
